How does it work?

Gas and electricity

We will do a price comparison for you to find you the best deal in your area and even contact your old supplier to let them know you’re moving. All you’ll have to do is decide which deal you would like and inform them of your meter readings on your move-in date.

Water and council tax

We can contact your new council and water supplier to inform them that you’re moving into the area and set up the account for you. We will also let the council and water supplier of your current property that you will be moving out.

Checklist for moving

There are so many things to remember when moving homes, so we thought it best to give you a checklist to help you along the way.

Contacting your utility suppliers

You need to let all your current suppliers know that you are moving out, for broadband and phone try to do this as early as possible, as you may need to give a months notice to cancel. For electricity and gas suppliers, we can contact them on your behalf.

Have a big clearout

Moving is the perfect time to go through your possessions and decide what's not worth keeping anymore. Some charity organisations such as The British Heart Foundation will collect unwanted furniture, homewares and clothes and take them away for free.

Pack and label everything

When packing everything, make sure to label what's inside the box as it will make your life a lot easier when unpacking on the other end.

Settle your outstanding bills

You don’t want any bills coming back to haunt you when you’re settled in your new home, so pay off your council tax, utilities and broadband/tv bills before you move. For electricity and gas, make sure you take a meter reading on the day you move out.
