In a recent interview Amanda was asked if she had a favourite story from the TV show
“All of them have been fantastic. Anne Blight, who runs The Starfish Project, helps people with stammers and her story really touched me. When people have stammers we don’t think how that can affect your entire life. One of the contributors that made me cry said that until Anne came along he couldn’t read his children a bedtime story, and because I’m a new mum that really hit home.
We also feature a lady who runs a wheelchair sports club which brings able-bodied and disabled children together so they can all play sport and not feel ostracised and left out because everyone has to play in a wheelchair.”
