Tenant and Renters Insurance is designed to offer protection to people who live in rented properties. Accidents happen and having renters insurance means you will be covered for accidental damage to the property and the loss of any possessions through fire and theft.
We understand that moving property can be expensive, so you have the option to pay over 10 instalments instead of 12, meaning you don’t have to pay anything until the third month of the policy. At the point of renewal, we’ll change the policy back to 12 payments.
If you have selected the worldwide possessions cover, you will benefit from personal use articles when away from home, such as gadgets, mobile phones and bikes up to £15,000. The items that you’ll be leaving behind in the property will be covered for the usual risks (fire/theft/escape of water etc.).
The policy provides cover on a new for old basis. During the process of a claim, the insurer will talk to you about replacement, repair or monetary compensation for your lost or damaged goods.
You are covered up to the sum insured (the contents cover the amount you select on the policy from £10,000 up to £50,000).
It’s the first part of the claim for which you are responsible (applicable excesses can be found on your Policy Certificate).
You will benefit from up to £100,000 to help you pursue and defend your legal rights for instances like tenancy disputes, employment disputes, personal tax affairs and traffic offences.
